A young couple is pushed to the limits of sanity as they attempt to be reunited amid the chaos of a pandemic outbreak. The streets erupt into violence and depravity, as those infected are driven to enact the most cruel and ghastly things imaginable.
The Sadness is a 2021 Taiwanese body horror film written, directed, and edited by Canadian filmmaker Rob Jabbaz in his feature directorial debut. It stars Berant Zhu and Regina Lei as a young couple attempting to reunite amidst a viral pandemic that turns people into homicidal maniacs. The story is heavily inspired by Garth Ennis' comic book Crossed.
