In Japan, the vampire-hunter Saya, who is a powerful original, is sent by her liaison with the government, David, posed as a teenage student to the Yokota High School on the eve of Halloween to hunt down vampires. Saya asks David to give a new katana to her. Soon she saves the school nurse Makiho Amano from two vampires disguised of classmates and Makiho witnesses her fight against the powerful demon.

Blood: The Last Vampire is a 2000 Japanese animated action horror film directed by Hiroyuki Kitakubo and written by Kenji Kamiyama; the film is created by Production I.G, whom also produced the film alongside their IG Plus division. Distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment, a girl named Saya, who hunts the hematophagous-bat-like creatures called Chiropterans, is tasked to eliminate the creatures at Yokota Air Base by her handlers.
