When they are accidentally transported to the Jurassic Era, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles must find their way through prehistoric dinosaurs to return home while facing dangerous aliens from the future who have a nefarious plan for them. The series begins with the Turtles emerging from their sewer home for the first time, using their ninjutsu training to fight enemies in present-day New York City.
