When man-eating Titans first appeared 100 years ago, humans found safety behind massive walls that stopped the giants in their tracks. But the safety they have had for so long is threatened when a colossal Titan smashes through the barriers, causing a flood of the giants into what had been the humans' safe zone.

Attack on Titan is a Japanese dark fantasy anime television series adapted from Hajime Isayama's 2009–2021 manga series. The series premiered on April 7, 2013, and concluded on November 5, 2023. Animated by Wit Studio and MAPPA, the series aired on Mainichi Broadcasting System and NHK General TV. In North America, the series has been streamed on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu. Attack on Titan has also aired on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block in the United States.
