It has received over 140 million hits on the site, becoming Qidian's first work to exceed 100 million views. An animated adaptation began serialization on April 14, 2009, and its final episode was released on July 20, 2011. In 2012, Fights Break Spheres was adapted into a comic book, co-written and drawn by Zhou Hongbin and cartoonist Ren Xiang.
