Superman is an upcoming American superhero film based on the eponymous character from DC Comics. Produced by DC Studios, Troll Court Entertainment, and the Safran Company, and to be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it will be the first film in the DC Universe (DCU) and a reboot of the Superman film series. The film is written, directed, and co-produced by James Gunn and stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent / Superman, alongside Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, and Isabela Merced. The film explores Superman's journey to reconcile his alien heritage with his adoptive human family.
