Mita and Raj Batra, an affluent couple from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, are grappling with getting their daughter admission into an English medium school. But there is one big problem. Their zubaan is Hindi, and the elitist snobs won’t let the Hindi speaking hoi-polloi fit in.
Hindi Medium is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film written and directed by Saket Chaudhary and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under their respective banners Maddock Films and T-Series. An adaptation of the 2014 Bengali film Ramdhanu, it stars Irrfan Khan, Saba Qamar, Dishita Sehgal, Deepak Dobriyal and Amrita Singh. Set in Delhi, the plot centres on a couple's struggle to get their daughter admitted to a prestigious English-medium school in order to rise in society.
