Five years have passed since Hiccup and Toothless united the dragons and Vikings of Berk. Now, they spend their time charting unmapped territories. During one of their adventures, the pair discover a secret cave that houses hundreds of wild dragons -- and a mysterious dragon rider who turns out to be Hiccup's mother, Valka. Hiccup and Toothless then find themselves at the center of a battle to protect Berk from a power-hungry warrior named Drago.
How to Train Your Dragon is a 2025 American fantasy film produced, written, and directed by Dean DeBlois. It is a live-action remake of DreamWorks Animation's 2010 animated film, itself loosely based on the first novel in Cressida Cowell's book series. The film stars Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Nick Frost, Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Ruth Codd, Peter Serafinowicz, and Murray McArthur, with Gerard Butler reprising his role as Stoick the Vast from the animated films. It is the first live-action production from DreamWorks Animation, as well as its first production to be a remake.
